However, like all cryptocurrency wallets, you will need to pay blockchain network fees (gas fees) when conducting transactions such as sending crypto, swapping tokens, or interacting with smart contracts. These fees are paid to the network validators, not to Trust Wallet. The app also provides optional services like buying crypto with a card, which may include processing fees from our payment partners.
Your recovery phrase (12 or 24 words) is the most important piece of information for accessing your wallet. If you lose your phone but have your recovery phrase, you can easily restore your wallet on any new device by entering the same recovery phrase. However, if you lose both your phone and recovery phrase, your funds will be permanently inaccessible. Trust Wallet is non-custodial, meaning we don't store your recovery phrase or have access to reset it. This is why it's crucial to write down your recovery phrase and store it in a secure location, preferably multiple physical locations for backup.
